Singing Willows: Live Music Performance
The first Singing Willows performance is a live music show featuring songs from the original Singing Willows book. It brings to life a collection of original bilingual songs in English with elements of French, created as part of the book’s musical world.
Designed for young audiences and families, the show is an interactive live music experience performed by four musicians who embody characters from the story while playing live on stage. The instrumentation includes guitar, double bass, banjo, kazoo percussion, and live vocals.
In its full-scale version, the production is designed for theatres and includes audience participation through handmade props connected to the storytelling, as well as moments where children are invited on stage to dance and interact with the performers.
The core ensemble features Alexandra Borghino, Kaz Ali, White Deer, and Brad Meyer.
A flexible touring version is also available for libraries, community centres, and smaller venues, presented by a reduced ensemble of 2–4 performers depending on the space and context.
